Shoot on Cemara Asri, Medan, Indonesia.

This is the first time I use strobist style in my entire shoot. I bought new 580exII, and just bought a new china wireless non ttl trigger before this photoshoot session. Gels and velcro one-wrap are just arrive yesterday. All are still totally new, never shot using strobist style at all. Only couple on camera flash. Lack of lighting knowledge or whatsoever. Read strobist 101 and some 102 early chapters.

At that time, the sky are clear, with some blobs of cloud -- and of course surely hot! Before this shot I just arrive around 30 minutes at the sites. Having shot around (test frames) in the temple and waiting for my friends to arrive.

This shot is happened so quick. I just dialed my camera on manual (yeah, learning manual, pain in ass). Flash on my bag, off. Everyone else are shooting wild goose near the pool, but not me, cause I dont have tele lens --poor me. See ROL (ray of light) just around 1 minutes and I called my buddy to ready for the shot (we even dont have model at that time). Preparing my flash, dial manual, 1/4 power (if i didnt forget, forgive me!), 35mm, handheld using my left hand (flash is on my camera left), no gels (not enough time to setup). Just made 2 shots, period. Moments are everything in this shot. I know I just dialed everything on intuition (yes, it's a bit dark and underpower lighting, but I knew I still can photoshop it later).

Hot like hell. Got tan skin, bleh. But still, I think it worth it. Thanks to my buddy, Christian, allowed me to use him as (emergency) model. LOL. More tk...
