Burning Passion

Burning Passion

Most of my shots are model + landscape environmental portrait, style that I idolize from Joe McNally. I love his style, though not many persons are enjoying this style.

Most person prefer to take a shoot with shallow DOF, meaning between the foreground and background are separated. It is not wrong nor right, for me. It's just the style, which someone prefer the most. And style is never wrong or right, only like or not like.

I made this shot in the evening yesterday, and planned for it 1 week ago. I never thought I can get this marvelous sunset yesterday, it JUST happened. Thank to God giving such a good moment for me, tho some persons are not (look at those cars, ruining the shots T-T).

Anyway, I also get some critics especially I cut off the model's leg. Actually, I have dillema of my light power which I used TTL, and I already push the limit of my flash compensation, I also used omni bounce (china diffuser), and the flash is attached on my camera. Distance is crucial, so does the light's power, I have other choice, but I'm not choosing it: using wireless trigger. But still other problem come out even I use wireless: who's gonna take my flash? I didnt bring any tripod (actually I have none). So, I just enjoying the process, I know the faults and will be my experience next time I making photograph.
